Job Summary
Conduct high and low-fidelity modelling of wind turbine airfoil and rotor aeroacoustics, including analysis of acoustics for rotors and airfoils. Analyze and develop acoustic measurements in anechoic wind tunnels using the Poul la Cour Wind Tunnel and Rotating Test Rig. Perform multi-disciplinary modeling and optimization of wind turbine rotors, integrating experimental and numerical methods for aeroacoustic design. Disseminate key research results in peer-reviewed journal papers and scientific conferences within nationally and internationally funded projects. Apply the newest research together with leading manufacturers within the wind turbine industry.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Wind Energy, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- PhD degree (or equivalent)
- A strong background in wind turbine aeroacoustics
- Solid experience within numerical methods and CFD
- Experience with low fidelity modeling of aeroacoustics
- Experience in analyzing acoustic measurements
- Proficient in Python and the various numerical packages
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results
