Job Summary
Conduct post-surgical critical care step-down nursing for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. Interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and administer rescue Bi-pap, high-flow oxygen, and trach/vent support. Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies while delegating to PCNAs, nurse interns, and providers. Requires current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications; PRN roles need one year of relevant experience. Work 72 bi-weekly hours on rotating shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) including weekends and holidays at MetroHealth Main Campus-Glick.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Possess all required certifications upon hire
