Job Summary
Provide safe, reliable patient care in accordance with JSMC policy, CMS standards, and Joint Commission regulations by establishing rapport, promoting independence, and resolving patient needs through multidisciplinary strategies. Develop and maintain individualized plans of care, coordinate with the health care team, and incorporate discharge planning needs. Administer medications observing the "6 rights" and maintain a barcode override rate under 10%. Document interventions accurately, chart in patient records, and ensure continuity among nursing teams. Adhere to infection-control policies, preventive maintenance requirements for equipment, and confidentiality protocols. Complete nursing history and assessments within 24 hours of admission. Practice within the scope of license, embrace Studer Group philosophies including HCAHPS and Hourly Rounding, and maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education.
Required Qualifications
- current license by the state of Kentucky or hold license in a compact state as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be current
- One year experience in Nursing/Surgery
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Ability to develop a full understanding of the Studer Group practices and tools and communicate them effectively

Desired Qualifications
- ACLS preferred
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
