Job Summary

Facilitate in-person and virtual workshops for counselors, advisors, CBO staff, and students while maintaining accurate training records and managing logistics. Support curriculum development, administer pre- and post-workshop evaluations, and assist with project management timelines and participant follow-up. Counsel a small caseload of high school students on college access and application processes, and prepare presentations for state and national conferences. Participate in data review meetings to support continuous improvement of training content and delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience counseling students on college access and success or working in college admissions
  • Previous training or facilitation experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective group facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Knowledge of the U.S. higher education system, particularly in NYC and NYS
  • Familiarity with college admissions, financial aid, and postsecondary pathways
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based applications, including virtual meeting and data-tracking tools
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
