Job Summary
Perform support removal, surface finishing, and dimensional checks on metal parts while operating post-processing equipment such as bandsaws, EDMs, and hand tools. Conduct visual inspections, follow quality control procedures, and communicate tool needs for daily operations. Maintain work area cleanliness, document performed work, and report part non-conformances. Adhere to safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement efforts. Work Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, with overtime or shift changes as production demands require. U.S. citizenship and a government security clearance are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, or hands-on technical role
- Familiarity with MES systems and other computer based systems (Microsoft office, SmartSheets, etc.)
- Comfort using hand tools and basic measurement devices (calipers, micrometers)
- Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions
- Willingness to wear required PPE including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing
- Ability to work overtime or shift schedules as required by production demands
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to maintain compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issues security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
