Job Summary
Conduct post-operative care for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis on the Critical Care Step Down Unit. Interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and operate rescue Bi-pap, high-flow oxygen, trach, and ventilators. Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies while delegating to PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, PT, and OT. Work rotating shifts from 7a-7p or 7p-7a across 14 beds, including weekends and holidays. Requires current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications, with one year of relevant experience for PRN roles.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Possess all required certifications upon hire
