Job Summary
Conduct post-operative nursing care for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis on the Critical Care Step Down Unit. Interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and operate rescue Bi-pap, high-flow oxygen, and trach/vent systems. Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies while collaborating with PCNAs, nurse interns, and providers. Requires current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications, with one year of relevant experience for PRN roles. Work 72 bi-weekly hours in rotating shifts covering weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Possess all required certifications upon hire
