Job Summary
Post-Operative Nursing Assistant on 9SE level I trauma and post-operative surgical unit. Provides care per plan of care under RN direction, safely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher, serves as observer for monitored patients, performs receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations, and documents care in the electronic medical record. Requires high school graduation and BLS; current CNA certification preferred. Unit cares for musculoskeletal surgery patients including joint arthroplasty, spine surgery, fragility fractures, and plastic/breast reconstruction cases; collaborates with case management, pharmacy, PT/OT, APPs, and physicians. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Current CNA certification preferred
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
