Job Summary
Provide counter services and sell postal products to customers at a Canada Post location; sort and process mail, distribute mail into classifications, provide customers with information and forms, and address delivery or service difficulties to resolve issues promptly. Requires high school or provincial equivalency (or related experience), experience interacting with the public in retail/service settings including cash transactions, understanding of post office accounting systems, ability to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, stand for extended periods, and flexibility for temporary, on-call work.
Required Qualifications
- High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
- Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
- Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
- Physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
Additional Requirements
