Post Grinding Operator

Job Summary
Set up and prepare departmental machinery per manuals, then load and unload fixturing while monitoring gauges, dials, and machine sounds to identify issues. Troubleshoot equipment, interpret drawings and routings, and perform inspections using appropriate tools to maintain product specifications. Complete job-related documentation, manage shop floor data collection, and adhere to the Quality Management System and safety protocols. Operate and maintain Cleaning Line operations, handle material receiving and dispatching, and coordinate product pickup with carriers. Perform routine maintenance and assist with training additional employees as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating and setting up industrial manufacturing or grinding equipment
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, routings, and drawings
- Working knowledge of inspection methods and measurement equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Manual dexterity to handle parts, tooling, and inspection equipment
- Weekend Shift (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM), Friday - Monday
- Additional hours or other shifts as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a grinding or tool manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with cleaning line operations
- Experience with shop floor data collection systems
- Prior experience in a quality-driven manufacturing environment
