Job Summary
Attend safety briefings and maintain safe working conditions while operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders to produce precision parts and instruments. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers or Vernier calipers to machine parts to specifications based on schematic drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Maintain machines and tools in proper operational condition, dispose of scrap in accordance with environmental regulations, and communicate with supervisors to resolve production problems. Wear approved PPE including safety glasses and steel toe boots. First shift: 6am-4:30pm; Monday-Thursday.
