Job Summary
Conduct light and full post-editing of machine translation outputs to ensure target text accurately reflects source meaning and meets client specifications. Provide corrections and text optimization while maintaining grammatical accuracy, key terminology, and cultural references. Correct formatting, tagging, punctuation, and style per project instructions and guidelines. Apply linguistic and cultural competences in IT/software fields, utilizing translation memory tools and management systems. Adapt to fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. This role supports LocalEyes Group's localization services for international software companies.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience
- Native speaker in Swedish language
- Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) experience
- Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing
- Experience with Translation Memory tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS)
- IT skills with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools
- Excellent understanding of Machine Translation Post-Editing processes and tools
- Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language
- Adaptive to fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Field of expertise: IT/Software and technical expertise including Software UI and product documentation translation
- Comfortable with technology and open to learn to use new tools
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in translation and proofreading specialized in IT and Software
