Job Summary
Conduct post-editing of machine translation outputs from English into Hungarian, ensuring target text accuracy and adherence to client specifications. Provide corrections and text optimization while maintaining key terminology, correcting formatting, and resolving cultural inconsistencies. Apply linguistic and cultural competences to guarantee high grammatical accuracy and fluency across technical documentation. Utilize CAT tools and translation memories to streamline workflow within a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience
- Native speaker in Hungarian language
- Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) experience
- Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing
- IT skills with knowledge and experience of CAT tools
- Excellent understanding of Machine Translation Post-Editing processes and tools
- Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language
- Adaptive to fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in translation and proofreading specialized in Technical field
- Comfortable with technology and open to learn to use new tools
