Job Summary
Operate pile driving equipment based on project requirements while performing routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Independently follow prescribed safety regulations, read operating manuals, and apply basic mathematical skills for load chart interpretation. Lift 50+ pound equipment, maneuver it into place, and conduct repetitive actions such as stooping, bending, and pushing. Provide timely documentation of field decisions and reporting, including Tier Boards and Production Tracking. Work outdoors in all weather conditions with exposure to loud noises and construction hazards. Minimum one year experience on construction projects preferred.
Required Qualifications
- GED or equivalent education
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Equipment certifications as required
- Current driver's license of proper class and necessary endorsements as required by law
- Ability to lift 50+ pound equipment
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- Must be able to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
- Must be able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals, and load charts
- Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
- Ability to detect machine malfunction
- Knowledge of equipment listed above, their appropriate uses
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on construction projects preferred
