Job Summary
Design and develop novel computational tools for biomedical data analysis, performing large-scale analysis using omics data. Interpret data with lab staff and collaborative researchers to discuss project progress, while assisting in identifying new biomedical data analysis technology and trends. Conduct relevant published literature searches, write and submit grant proposals to extramural funding agencies, and prepare research manuscripts, articles, and project reports. Present ongoing work and findings at local, national, and international conferences. Pursue specialized research training under the guidance of a scientific mentor within the Department of Biomedical Informatics.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Science and Technology, or other disciplines with strong quantitative background
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as R, C, Python or MATLAB
