Job Summary
Design, develop, and execute scientific research and development projects in collaboration with a research team. Investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles to potential inventions, maintain laboratory protocols, and apply for external fellowships and grants. Participate in weekly lab meetings, journal clubs, and seminars while submitting research results to scientific journals and presenting data at conferences. Build and maintain external collaborations with clinicians and professional organizations, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Required Qualifications
- doctorate degree
- less than 4 years of postdoctoral training
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- General knowledge or interest in rehabilitation
- specific knowledge in biomedical or clinical principles
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to exchange ideas and to work closely with clinicians, patients and professional organizations
- Willingness to network within the Institute and to independently strengthen/develop new external collaborations
- Ability to timely plan and to coordinate project completions
