Job Summary
Prepare research samples for analysis, perform data analysis and record keeping, maintain and clean equipment, monitor supplies, and execute end-of-day procedures. Provide technical support to the Principal Investigator and other laboratory personnel while ensuring proper use of equipment and experimental protocols. Work independently and collaboratively with undergraduate, medical, and Masters students to uphold safety protocols and aseptic techniques. This position supports the School of Medicine's biomedical research team in Macon, GA.
Required Qualifications
- A PhD degree from an accredited college/university in molecular biology, microbiology, or closely related field
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to complete complex calculations to prepare for experiments
- Ability to record data measurements and maintain organized records
- Possesses knowledge of aseptic techniques
