Job Summary
The Postdoctoral Associate conducts scientific research under supervision, prepares reports and technical papers for publishing, and develops analytical models to support strategic decisions. It participates in NIH StrokeNet-related training and activities, including attending grand rounds, webinars, and learning communities, with a focus on clinical research in stroke. The role involves screening, enrollment, and follow-up of study participants within StrokeNet study protocols, spending at least half of time on research and research training, and pursuing additional educational opportunities (e.g., a 1-year Public Health certificate). The position is full-time within UHealth/University of Miami and emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and contributions to the scientific community.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in relevant field required
- No previous experience required
- Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols; adapt to changing priorities
- Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with others
- Technical proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications
