Job Summary
Post Construction Reviewer for HPD's Office of Development in NYC. The role involves coordinating reviews and inspections of pipeline projects, conducting post-construction reviews of drawings/plans to ensure compliance with NYC Building and Construction Codes, Zoning Resolution, HPD Design Guidelines, and accessibility standards (ADA/Section 504). Responsibilities include field inspections, property research, preparing tracking reports, and training junior staff on review/inspection processes. Candidates should have a background in Architecture or related field, strong knowledge of multifamily housing construction standards, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The position requires at least 4 years of relevant experience, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and eligibility to work in the United States; a driving license may be required for certain assignments and a background check may be conducted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited college, or Bachelor of Science degree in architecture with one year of full-time architectural experience, or valid New York State Registration as an Architect
- 4+ years of full-time experience reviewing multi-family new construction projects
- Strong knowledge of NYC Building and Construction codes, Federal/State/City housing codes and regulations
- Ability to conduct building inspections for accessibility compliance and participate in field meetings
- Experience in post-construction reviews of drawings/plans, scopes of work, and specifications for multifamily housing projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to prepare tracking reports and manage documentation
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple projects
- Willingness to conduct field work and inspections
- Valid NY Driver License may be required for certain assignments
- Background check may be conducted by NYC Department of Investigation
