Post Charge Off - Repossession Specialist II

Job Summary
Lead liaison in the repossession process for delinquent auto accounts. Assign charged-off accounts for repossession (involuntary, voluntary, and abandoned units). Coordinate with repossession vendors and notify relevant departments upon securing vehicles. Conduct preliminary skip tracing and maintain follow-ups with agents. Monitor accounts for payments or arrangements, apply holds or initiate closures, and forward unresolved cases to the skip department. Support agent selection, fee negotiation, and verification of insurance and bond compliance. Ensure adherence to legal guidelines (RTC, SCL, SSCRA, bankruptcy protections). Process reinstatements and redemptions, audit invoices, and assist with vehicle release procedures. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive consumer data. Role requires 2+ years in auto collections, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 10% with hybrid work locations in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- 2+ years of experience in auto collections
- Call center background preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; document management systems and compliance workflows
- Knowledge of FDCPA, and collection laws
