Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, storing, and weighing items according to recipes and quality standards. Cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers while testing for proper doneness. Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Set up and break down work stations, and serve food in proper portions onto receptacles. Monitor appliance and food temperatures, report maintenance needs or unsafe conditions, and ensure adherence to safety policies and personal appearance standards. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
