Job Summary
Provide community-based support as a Positive Support Specialist (PSS) in ICRS programs, assisting individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs to increase independence in life skills, advocate for rights and medical care, and participate in meaningful activities at home and in the community. Responsibilities include documenting each shift, managing crisis situations with trauma-informed care, training in Positive Behavioral Supports and restraints per 245D requirements, and maintaining an ALIVE workplace culture. The role requires physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs, and a clear background check with a valid driver’s license; location is Bemidji, MN (on-site). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum education is a high school diploma; degree preferred in a relevant field
- Minimum experience 1-2 years with people with complex needs; 3-5 years preferred
