Job Summary
Positive Support Specialists (PSS) work in Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs, assisting individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs. Responsibilities include promoting independence in essential life skills, advocating for individuals, and managing crisis situations safely. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, physical capability to perform job-related tasks, and previous experience working with people with complex needs.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals
- Physically able to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of local community resources is a plus
- Cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study
- Valid driver's license
- Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) required

- 3-5 years of relevant experience
