Job Summary
Assist individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs to perform essential life skills like meal preparation and community navigation. Advocate for rights and medical care while engaging in trauma-informed care daily. Manage crisis situations safely, including potential use of manual restraints, and complete necessary documentation every shift. Work within our Intensive Community Residential Services programs supporting people to reach their goals while ensuring safety. Shifts run Tuesdays through Saturdays from 3pm to 11pm. Candidates must receive training for Positive Behavioral Supports and manual restraints, possess a driver's license, and pass a Bureau of Criminal Affairs background study.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals
- Must physically be able to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods of time
- The ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study
- Have a driver's license
- A Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is also required
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of local community resources is a plus
- Minimum education is a high school diploma
- Preference is a degree in a field relevant to this role
- Minimum experience is 1-2 years of working with people with complex needs
- Preference is for 3-5 years of relevant experience
