Job Summary
Assist individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs to achieve personal goals through daily support at home and in the community. Help supported individuals develop independence in essential life skills like meal preparation, personal hygiene, and community navigation. Advocate for rights and medical care while completing necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift. Manage crisis situations safely and effectively, utilizing Positive Behavioral Supports and manual restraints training. Engage in trauma-informed care daily within our ICRS programs. Full and part-time weekend shifts available with a $2000 hiring bonus for 40% FTE or greater.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals
- Must physically be able to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods of time
- The ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study
- Have a driver's license
- A Motor Vehicle Check (MVR)
- Minimum education is a high school diploma
- Minimum experience is 1-2 years of working with people with complex needs
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of local community resources is a plus
- Preference is a degree in a field relevant to this role
- Preference is for 3-5 years of relevant experience
