Job Summary
Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner sought to join the Allied Health team at Well Life Services in Toowoomba, Queensland. Responsibilities include conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing person-centred positive behaviour support plans, supporting and educating families and carers to implement behavioural strategies, collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholder teams to ensure holistic care, and maintaining required records and documentation of client progress and interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work , Occupational Therapy or Psychology
- Core, Proficient, or Advanced Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner status (NDIS Commission)
- Thorough knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks including proven experience with functional behaviour assessments, intervention and service delivery practices and restrictive practice authorization processes.
- Strong cultural awareness, particularly in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and CALD communities
- Strong communication, case management, and interpersonal skills
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening clearance, and valid Australian driver's licence
