Job Summary
Local CDL-A shuttle driver for Detroit, MI, home daily. Safely transport materials between terminal and customer locations on a 5 am–2:30 pm shift with 8–9 hour days. Operate light-touch freight (involving chaining/strapping as needed) on 2–3 runs per day between terminal and customer locations. Maintain DOT compliance, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and communicate with dispatch to meet delivery schedules. Union position with Teamsters Local 299 and seniority-based route bidding every 6 months. Training through the Train-to-Train (T2T) program may be required for recent graduates; experienced drivers may be exempt based on prior experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Clean driving record with strong safety history
- Ability to meet DOT requirements
- Strong communication and time management skills
