Job Summary
As a Portuguese Remote Agent within the IRIS division, you will facilitate language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community across various settings via audio and video. Responsibilities include providing effective remote interpreting, answering inbound calls promptly, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining high standards of customer service and confidentiality. The role requires full fluency in English and Portuguese, as well as proficiency in technology. Preferred qualifications include professional interpreting experience and relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Full fluency in both English and Portuguese
- Technology proficient (including but not limited to: web based platforms, email, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
Desired Qualifications
- Professional interpreting experience
- Industry specific certifications/trainings (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
- Proof of 40+ hour medical interpreting training (ex: Bridging The Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
