Portuguese Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor

Job Summary
Virtual Portuguese language instruction across listening, reading, and speaking to improve proficiency and cultural/regional understanding, using modern blended-learning methodologies. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, assess and tailor instruction to ILR levels 0+ to 3, review assignments with feedback, maintain a professional virtual learning environment, and collaborate with Site Lead/POI to address curriculum gaps. Must be a US citizen with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent, able to deliver instruction remotely, and possess equipment (Windows PC, webcam, headset, internet). Preferred experience with online platforms such as CL-150 or Blackboard; a Bachelor's degree is desired. Clearance: None. Location: Remote with no travel.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Educated native speaker of Portuguese or near-native capability in listening, reading, and speaking with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent
- Experience in providing foreign language instruction via virtual environment
- Understanding of cultural, social, and political environment of Portuguese-speaking region
- Experience creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials to customer needs
- Ability to access a computer with webcam, headset, microphone, and reliable internet
