Job Summary
Athletic Coach at Portsmouth High School leading the Girls Freshman Soccer program. Responsibilities include designing and overseeing a total sports program, ensuring compliance with athletic policies and regulations, supervising staff and assistants, scheduling practices and transportation for events, coordinating with maintenance and school staff, managing equipment, and promoting sportsmanship and character development among student athletes. Requires mentoring athletes, communicating with parents and staff, and contributing to program budgeting and public relations for schedules, tournaments, and results.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED preferred experience
- Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
- Coaching experience preferred for appropriate grade level
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation
