Job Summary
Portfolio Support Specialist provides high-level administrative, operational, and analytical support to Senior Regional Managers and their teams across a multi-state affordable housing portfolio. Responsibilities include coordinating travel, preparing and submitting expense reports, creating presentations and performance reports, maintaining records, assisting with budgeting and variance reporting, ensuring accurate financials with accounts payable/receivable, analyzing income/expense data, producing weekly/monthly/quarterly property performance reports, identifying trends and drivers, coordinating with property leadership and accounting, gathering market data, supporting internal projects and regulatory inspections (MORs, NSPIRE), and assisting with due diligence for acquisitions and capital projects. Strong emphasis on data analysis, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Requires 1–3 years in affordable housing, HS diploma or GED, proficiency with Yardi/OneSite/RealPage, Excel, and travel readiness.
Required Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of experience in affordable housing property management, including working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Affordable Housing industry certifications (COS, TCS, BOS, etc.) preferred
- Proficiency in property management systems (Yardi, OneSite, RealPage)
- Project coordination or project management experience
- Exposure to audit preparation and regulatory compliance processes
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Travel: Approximately 10–15%
