Portfolio Sales Bench Manager

Job Summary
Provide sales leadership coverage, support, and training within your assigned portfolio, including on-property Task Force Sales Leadership and new Sales Leader onboarding. Develop managers through competency training and serve as a mentor for communications among property leadership, owners, and brand representatives. Identify and solicit accounts to optimize revenue performance, conduct weekly calls with sales teams, and execute direct sales efforts with property-based Directors of Sales. Monitor owner/portfolio initiatives, complete special projects, and participate in the Sales Advisory Council. Maintain regular attendance, comply with brand standards, and manage multiple tasks independently while traveling up to 85% of the year.
Required Qualifications
- Must be proficient in Aimbridge company technologies, processes, and best practices.
- Must be experienced with designated portfolio ownership group with a basic understanding of owner preferences.
- Must be comfortable with travel based on the sales needs of the portfolio; Travel commitment up to 85%.
- Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products and Company approved systems.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must possess highly developed verbal & written communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.
- Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
- Must have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, as well as convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations with the ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consideration to adjust/modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Must be effective in prioritizing needs and identifying solutions.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
- Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required which will vary according to the needs of the portfolio and its leadership.
- Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality dress code and wearing a nametag when working (per brand standards).
Desired Qualifications
- At least 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
