Job Summary
Portfolio Product Manager role focused on driving growth, profitability, and long-term development of Pepperl+Fuchs' industrial sensor product portfolio in China. Bridge between market needs, sales strategy, and product innovation; responsibilities include shaping product roadmaps, conducting market research and competitive intelligence, translating insights into product concepts and business cases, leading lifecycle management (launches, enhancements, end-of-life planning), collaborating with R&D and cross-functional teams, driving profitability through pricing and portfolio optimization, and developing go-to-market strategies and customer-facing materials; requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Industrial/Electronics/Automation/Business Engineering and at least 5 years in product management or related roles; fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English; ability to operate in an international business environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, Business Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Development, Portfolio Management, or Business Development within industrial technology sectors
- Proven experience managing products throughout the complete lifecycle, from concept development and business case creation through commercialization and phase-out
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, industrial sensors, electronics, manufacturing technologies, or related technical products
- Demonstrated ability to conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, customer research, and strategic portfolio planning
- Commercially driven with strong business acumen and experience evaluating sales performance, profitability, ROI, and market opportunities
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with experience engaging customers and cross-functional teams
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese and strong English communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in an international business environment
