Job Summary
Portfolio Manager for Wipaire’s global portfolio of Commercial and Recreational products and STCs, leading cross-functional project teams and driving the portfolio strategy and business plan. Develops and justifies new product and STC opportunities, coordinates with Marketing, Sales, R&D/Engineering, and Finance to build realistic business cases, and collaborates with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Field Support, and Engineering to implement launch and improvement plans. Responsible for market insights, competitive analysis, and creating compelling value propositions; travels up to 50% domestically and internationally. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience in general aviation, with strong emphasis on product/project management and sales, plus ability to present and communicate with industry partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Eight years’ minimum related experience working with general aviation aircraft strongly preferred
- Five years’ minimum marketing or sales experience required
- Strong technical acumen of general aviation practices as well as FAA regulation and processes related to aircraft operations strongly preferred
- Experience in new business development with the ability to network and build strong customer and industry partner relationships required
- Pilot license preferred
- Seaplane rating preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% and may occur on an inconsistent basis depending on project need
