Job Summary
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key supplier partners, including winery principals and brand ambassadors, while acting as the primary conduit for aligning internal departments with supplier expectations. Analyze portfolio development to recommend new brands and product eliminations, then manage pricing, margins, inventory, and supported programs to ensure alignment with company profitability standards. Execute successful new product launches by updating marketing materials and communicating with the sales team, while conducting ongoing business analysis of product profitability and inventory turns. Create sales incentive structures for management and teams, manage vendor setups and special orders, and coordinate with statewide sales leadership on market calendars and trade investments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field
- Background or experience in distribution
- At least 3 years of prior Brand Management experience in distribution
- Must possess a valid drivers' license
- Must be able to travel within established geographic areas
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must meet company driving record & automobile insurance requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, including knowledge of wine and spirits terms, and their production process techniques
- Passion for wine and spirits with the ability to continuously learn new brands and represent effectively to customers
- Ability to understand and execute brand strategy at the market level
- Has a passion for marketing and promotional events in all channels
- Ability to interpret consumer research data and analyze competitive activity
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
- Ability to focus and be flexible in pressure situations
- Resolve conflicts in a calm and professional manner
