Job Summary
Portfolio Manager I responsible for collaborating with clients and teammates to design and implement customized investment strategies for high-net-worth clients, supporting asset allocation, portfolio construction, security/manager selection, trade execution, risk management, and investment reviews; drives client retention and business development through proactive engagement and delivery of integrated solutions across equities, fixed income, and alternative investments; role requires maintaining up-to-date market and economic perspectives, and adherence to fiduciary standards and regulatory considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of investment decision making and financial consulting experience working with high-net-worth and ultra-high net worth clients
- Has held positions of increasing responsibility with an established financial services firm, most likely in wealth management/private banking/trust
- Knowledge of fiduciary standards, principles and applicable laws and regulations usually acquired through training/seminars/law school
- Skills: Advisory, Client Investments, Management, Relationship management, Presentation, Active Listening, Analytical Thinking
- Experience with securities, diversification, asset allocation, trade execution, risk management and compliance
- Experience delivering integrated solutions across equities, fixed income, alternatives and specialty asset management
- Strong client service orientation and ability to develop meaningful client relationships
- Understanding of tax, legal and operations relevant to investment management
- Ethics and professional standards
Desired Qualifications
