Job Summary
Prepare and conduct Credit Approval Presentations (CAPs) summarizing risk trends for small to mid-size business and real estate opportunities. Analyze commercial credit requests by evaluating financial statements, tax returns, and collateral to determine repayment ability and risk ratings. Perform due diligence, review loan documentation, and partner with appraisal staff on third-party reports. Communicate directly with lending officers and relationship managers to facilitate timely underwriting and loan modifications. Monitor covenants, assist in closing loans, and maintain compliance reviews while identifying issues for risk adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business
- Minimum 2 years' commercial and industrial underwriting and/or portfolio management experience
- Sound understanding of commercial credit analysis techniques including cash flow, balance sheet analysis, evaluation of collateral and personal financial condition
- Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize workflow
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
