Portfolio Management Intern, Manager Research (Summer 2027)

Job Summary
Evaluate and select investment managers across diverse asset classes using quantitative and qualitative lenses, while monitoring third-party manager performance and conducting market research on investment trends. Analyze and report on various model portfolios, interface with portfolio management and alternatives teams, and contribute to producing research materials that support investment decisions. Provide robust support to internal colleagues through excellent communication and collaboration, while assisting in best-in-class client service and content creation. This summer 2027 internship requires a rising junior or senior in finance, economics, or mathematics to work onsite four days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a rising junior or senior by the summer of 2027
- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
- Demonstrated coursework or experience in finance, economics, or mathematics
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant financial software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Able to work across multiple internal and external departments and individuals
- Works to see multiple points of view to reach shared objective
- Able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and written, in a variety of settings and with multiple communication styles
- Previous internship, work, or classwork experience in finance or a related field
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be willing to execute Corient's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant financial software is a plus
- Previous internship, work, or classwork experience in finance or a related field is preferred but not required
