Job Summary
Portfolio Energy & Strategy Manager will serve a single client as a member of a large, global sustainability team. You will develop and execute an energy management strategy for a portfolio of sites, educate key stakeholders on energy and sustainability topics, manage energy, waste, and water data collection within JLL's technology platform, and produce monthly/quarterly reports tailored to client requirements. You will drive operational improvements across extensive real estate portfolios, collaborate with other JLL energy managers, engage with facility managers as the primary point of contact for sustainability. The role includes providing technical training and mentoring junior colleagues, developing systems and processes for monitoring and reporting sustainability performance, and leading strategic initiatives to identify innovative solutions. Preferred qualifications include site walkthroughs (ASHRAE Level 1/2), strong project management, tender/work order experience, ISO 14001 familiarity, cross-functional collaboration, carbon footprint reduction, landfill diversion programs, and adaptability to complex environments. Location noted is onsite in Seattle, WA.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree (Science, engineering, math, or related fields)
- 5-10 years of experience working in the Energy/Sustainability field with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Specialized technical understanding of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems and their impact on sustainability goals
- Advanced understanding of energy and water conservation measures
- Strong ability to analyze corporate portfolio by benchmarking and reviewing utility data to drive sustainability measures
- Advanced understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting
- Familiarity with energy procurement process and renewable energy options
- Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view
- Ability to lead the technical support team to solve complex problems, plan and prioritize deadlines, and think strategically to identify innovative solutions
