Portfolio Company Data Operations Associate

Job Summary

Maintain and analyze Americas Private Equity portfolio company financial data, ensuring end-to-end data integrity from onboarding through exit analysis. Manage recurring financial data collection efforts to ensure clean, accurate inputs and repeatable operational processes. Develop and maintain data products, complex SQL logic, and lightweight software solutions that automate financial analysis and workflows. Produce quarterly performance reporting and analytics across strategies, synthesizing data to deliver actionable insights for portfolio management committees and senior leadership. Monitor data quality controls to ensure completeness and accuracy, remediating identified issues promptly. Operate the internal data platform (Chronograph) within the region, resolving technical inquiries and optimizing user engagement. Provide best-in-class client data experiences by producing quarterly LP reports, managing ad hoc requests, and addressing due diligence queries. Act as a trusted resource for data-related questions from internal and external groups while collaborating with the Global Data Operations team and regional members across time zones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Analytics, Information Systems, or related quantitative discipline
  • 4-6 years of experience in a data-intensive role within financial services, private equity, asset management, or a comparable institutional environment
  • Intermediate SQL skills to manipulate data (experience with joins, unions, views, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Python or a similar programming language
  • Understanding of financial statement analysis, corporate finance, and the private equity ecosystem
  • Hands-on experience using data visualization tools such as Sigma, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools to support analyses
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Excel plug ins, Power Query)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill data into insights
  • Strong cultural fit – collaborative, intellectually curious, action-oriented, and committed to high standards of excellence and accountability
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, including ability to be detail-oriented across multiple competing priorities
  • Master's degree preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • Buy-side exposure with experience in asset/ investment management
  • Data analytics & modeling skills using Python, R, etc.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
  • Experience with Private Equity Portfolio Monitoring tools such as Chronograph, iLEVEL, Cobalt, etc.
  • Knowledge of Private Markets / Private Company data, trends and analytics
  • Familiarity with market & alternative data vendors
