Job Summary
Coordinate daily shop activities and assist the lead in scheduling corrective and preventive maintenance for all building systems. Ensure all installation, repair, and project work complies with local, state, and federal guidelines. Provide hands-on technical oversight without direct supervision, managing electrical, mechanical, and building systems as required. Maintain a keen customer service orientation while communicating effectively with the team. This role supports the 25-bed acute care facility and 98-bed skilled nursing unit at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, Vermont.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- A minimum of three years experience in Healthcare Facilities Management, licensure or 10 years of trade experience
- Expertise in their area of expertise
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to communicate and listen effectively
- Ability to coordinate and manage project work as assigned by the lead
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and building systems
Desired Qualifications
- Certification or licensure depending on area of oversight
