Job Summary
The Porter assists the Maintenance team with day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of the property. Responsibilities include interior cleaning of common areas, trash handling/removal, preparation of vacant units for occupancy, exterior cleaning and basic maintenance (lighting, air filters, blinds), weather-related duties (mat placement, snow/storm prep), and reporting unsafe conditions. Requires High School Diploma or GED, ability to operate large industrial cleaning equipment, physical endurance (lift up to 50 pounds, standing for periods), strong work ethic, flexibility to work various shifts, and good interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency using large industrial cleaning equipment (buffing machine, industrial vacuums)
- Flexible and willing to work all shifts/hours as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic and service-oriented mindset
- Good interpersonal skills
- Basic aptitude for light maintenance tasks (changing bulbs, air filters, blinds/shades)
- Awareness of safety hazards and proper cleaning/sanitation solutions
- Prolonged standing and physical stamina
