Job Summary
Full-time Porter at Lobster Place Seafood Hall (Chelsea Market, NYC). Duties include putting away deliveries, labeling and dating items, trash and cardboard removal, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, regular checks of the kitchen, coordinating daily tasks with porters and Chefs, maintaining sanitation, cleaning floors and storage areas, and delivering friendly service to customers. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, work evenings and weekends, and work in a fast-paced retail kitchen environment. 1 year similar experience preferred; emphasis on customer service and teamwork; strong communication skills desired.
