Job Summary
Porter/Groundskeeper responsible for grounds and housekeeping to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartment homes; responds to related service requests and assists in apartment turnovers. Duties include completing grounds and housekeeping tasks, cleaning windows/floors/carpets, watering landscape, replacing light bulbs, painting, removing trash, and cleaning apartments for turnovers. Also involved in organizing maintenance materials and informing the Service Director of needed supplies and repairs. Requires weekend/on-call availability and physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing ladders, and walking the property. Requires strong English communication and a High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs around the property, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities such as bending, kneeling, pushing.
- Prior custodial, housekeeping, or apartment experience preferred
- The ability to work weekends and be on-call
- Valid driver's license
