Job Summary
The Porter role aims to exceed customer expectations by ensuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, while maintaining temperature-controlled and undamaged product, accurate counts, and FIFO inventory in customer locations. Key duties include inventory management of cleaning supplies, adherence to HACCP and GMP standards, and completion of SQF paperwork as assigned. Requires 1-3 years in a related position, ability to work a 3rd shift (8:30 PM–5:00 AM) for 40 hours/week, and proficiency in English for effective communication and documentation. Physical duties include lifting 20–50 pounds, operating sanitation equipment, and the ability to work in cooler/freezer environments. Demonstrates independence, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork with cross-department collaboration; performs other duties as needed to maintain facility cleanliness and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years in related position
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to follow detailed cleaning procedures
- Work with cleaning chemicals daily
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Ability to operate sanitation equipment (mop, broom and or vacuum)
- Lifting, carrying, walking, standing kneeling, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling for long periods
- Work independently
- Follow safety protocols
- Understand HACCP, GMP requirements
