Porter

Porter duties within a pathology/laboratory support and facilities management context. Responsibilities include taking delivery of medical gas cylinders and moving them to usage areas, disconnecting and storing empty cylinders, receiving and distributing pathology-related goods to laboratories, replenishing stock in laboratory stores, monitoring consumables stock levels, notifying managers for reorders, coordinating with the cleaning team for lab coat handling, using the CAFM system to raise and progress work tasks, and adhering to Health & Safety procedures with appropriate PPE. The role involves manual handling of heavy items, teamwork with the Soft Service Supervisor and lab teams, and completing required training and any other tasks assigned by management. Essential experience: prior work in a similar role, proactive, flexible, physically fit for lifting and moving heavy items.
