Job Summary
Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, amenity areas, hallways, and shared spaces; sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean floors, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. Empty trash and recycling containers, restock paper products and supplies, and monitor assigned areas to address cleaning needs promptly. Set up and take down tables, chairs, equipment, and decorations for community events, ensuring spaces remain organized before, during, and after activities. Respond to spills and special cleaning requests, report maintenance concerns or safety hazards, and operate cleaning tools safely. Maintain a professional presence while interacting with residents, guests, and team members. Perform this full-time, onsite role Monday through Saturday in San Marcos, Texas, with availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, including cleaning equipment, tables, chairs, and event materials
- Ability to remain active throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
- Ability to work an opening or closing shift Monday through Friday and a midday Saturday shift
- Community operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Some evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required based on community events and operational needs
- Ability to perform the essential responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, housekeeping, facilities, hospitality, or similar hands-on experience is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
