Job Summary
Operate floor cleaning machines to clean hard surfaces and carpets, maintaining assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition including empty apartments, common areas, and outside spaces. Wash, sanitize, dust, polish, vacuum, mop, and sweep all establishment areas while following community cleaning schedules and safety precautions. Perform routine building maintenance rounds for tasks like painting, wall patching, floor care, pressure washing, and basic plumbing repairs, reporting all repair requests or safety hazards immediately. Ensure equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored and use cleaning chemicals safely according to instructions. Work full-time with four 10-hour shifts including weekends, respecting residents' privacy and adhering to local and state codes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Desired Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting (hotels)
- Prior maintenance experience and general maintenance skillset, including drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, painting, and floor care
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses, as well as cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
