Job Summary
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned building areas, including lobbies, breakrooms, offices, garden rooms, storage areas, and common spaces. Clean and sanitize elevator cabs, handrails, and stairwells; empty trash and recycling from residential units; buff floors, clean light fixtures, and maintain doors, mailboxes, and kick plates. Perform exterior grounds maintenance, power washing, and pool-area cleaning as needed. Change light bulbs and assist with basic maintenance tasks while identifying and reporting safety hazards or building concerns. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM for a temp-to-hire position at $18 per hour in West Houston.
Required Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, housekeeping, or building maintenance experience
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Good communication skills
- Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting, sweeping, mopping, and moving supplies
- Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Must be safety-conscious and able to identify and report maintenance concerns
