Job Summary
Maintain common areas, clubhouses, model units, and all other property spaces prior to resident move-in by ensuring they are safe, tidy, and sanitary. Keep trash, debris, and animal waste free from the property while managing dumpster areas and preparing for trash pick-up. Oversee grass and landscaping maintenance, including flower watering, and verify the best possible appearance of each apartment before new residents arrive. Advise supervisors of necessary repairs such as ripped carpet or torn linoleum, provide assistance with apartment turnovers, and communicate maintenance or curb appeal issues to managers. Respond appropriately to emergencies and participate in required in-service and Cardinal U training sessions. Work both inside and outside apartment buildings in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and hail, while adhering to all policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy while providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, and complete physical labor for up to eight hours per day
- Ability to communicate and comprehend in English
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal Core Values every day
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to fifty (50) pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions including, but not limited to rain, snow, heat, hail, wind and sleet
